After getting my driving licence on 28 August 2002, I remember driving my dad’s car – a red Mazda 121 – to my grandparent’s home with my dad supervising throughout the whole journey. Like most dads, he was super critical of me changing gears and driving through a bend. It wasn’t until a year after that I got to finally drive out on my own. You can call it a victory, sort of celebration of my newfound freedom. Haha~ The thing about driving alone to anywhere is the best thing that has happened since I became an adult. But driving the Mazda 121 is like a dream because it will always be my first love. And I happen to find one parked nicely beside my car. Of course, I couldn’t help reminiscing the few years I had with Bubble. Yes, I sort of decided to give it a name after so many years. Bubble was a cute car and on most count a very reliable car. I remembered driving to fetch my new date home and gai gai. Bubble was a real rugged buddy who never made me worry while driving up Benjamin Shears Bridge. Despite it being a manual car, it climbed the steep slope in gear 3 or 4 without much hesitation. Bubble also did its duty to bring my first beloved dog to hospital and eventually Belle past away… having cried so much in that same car too. I love Bubble because it gave me so much fond memory. To Bubble, you are the best.
This video really reminds me of the times in office when we have cat fights. One day, a new cat strolled into the territory of an old cat unannounced. It appears that the king cat has a new muse – the new cat. What the old cat did not find out was that the new cat will be ranked higher than her. WTF!!! So, the new cat obviously having a long standing reputation elsewhere before settling down on this new tuff wanted to know EVERYTHING about it. The king cat called upon the old cat to tell new cat what they have done so far. And so the cat fight begun… at first in a subtle manner… and then it appeared more obvious that the new cat is commanding every possible space the old cat had previously. MEOW~ and it continues…
Well, there you go. My maiden post after a six months hiatus. Not exactly the most glamourous thing to announce but ya, I did it again. What did I do for the past six months? Besides going crazy over my last semester at NTU and fretting over projects both at work and in sch, I seriously have not nothing better to do than searching on my favourite YouTube clips like 超级星光大道. I mean why do I bother to religiously wake up early on weekends to search for the latest clip posted by someone in Taiwan? All thanks to Melvin who happen to show me the Yang Zhong Wei’s Yu Tian (Link) and boy, I was HOOKED! Yes, but then I do have my preference for such crappy love songs. Not to mention, he made headlines later for reportedly lying about his real age. What is wrong with being older? Everything. I could definitely understand why Yang wanted to bluff his age. Being young is desirable. Suddenly, by shaving off a few years you have more opportunities… to be loved. Isn’t life silly at times?
